Read this book in my Nobel prize winner-project. Read it in Norwegian. It is a book about young love and life in the countryside in turn of the century Norway.

for some reason i've always found bjørnstjerne bjørnson's books really charming. i love reading them even though from the start i know what the ending is going to be like. his language and his stories are simple, but so sweet and innocent in a way.

if you like classical farm literature this is something for you, if not, then read it anyway.
