While this isn’t my usual choice for a book, I enjoyed escaping into a world of fancy and fun, with a dash of danger. Now I have to get the other two books to see what the Dragna sisters get into!

“Every person has the power to change their fate if they are brave enough to fight for what they desire more than anything” Caraval was such an immersive experience. I was kept guessing the entire time which made it so hard to predict and also kept me completely invested from start to finish. the secrecy and the world reminded me of Spirited Away and the game reminded me of the move The Vampires Assistant (John C Reilly movie)

Absolutely loved this book. It was a magical mind trip. Very dark themes but the end was amazing.

Fast-paced and almost magnetic in how it hooks you in, this is truly a masterful story. The twists and turns, even when you can see them coming, take you unexpected places, and you're left wondering along with Scarlett what's real and what's simply magic.

I enjoyed this, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't YA, it seemed a little bit underdeveloped sometimes and the characters could have done with a little more depth. Other times the plot twists piled up one on top of the other and were a bit much, I think Scarlett probably aged several years in a week due to the things she went through, there was no time given for her to process any of the trauma she went through. Interesting enough for me to go on to read the rest of the series as I like the idea of the game and the world that Legend creates for it.

It was a wonderful story that really had you guessing what was going to happen next. Even if you think you have it figured out the story would prove you wrong. I loved this book and it was a fantastic read.
