I had such a good time with the beginning of this book and then life happened and I really didn’t have the space to be reading very technical nonfiction. Nonetheless I really enjoyed the topic and I think I learned a lot. Would also recommend the podcast she did with John Green.

It's strange to be describing a book about the literal end of the universe as "comforting," but that's the emotion I'm left with after finishing this book. Mack is a very good science writer, and approaches highly complex topics in a way that can be understood by all readers. I'm not on Twitter so was unaware that she's an internet persona in her own right, but I can definitely see how--she's an extremely gifted communicator, and I think readers of all ages will enjoy this.

Добре, що ми до цього всього не доживемо, окрім хіба що вакуумного розпаду.

Мене трохи розвалило усвідомлення, що всі люди навколо весь час знаходяться трохи в минулому відносно мене.

Wonderful book, I came here to read about the end, but I now know about how it all started. This book helps the cosmology enthusiast to learn much more about the universe and its possible endings. We humans have only a life span of 60-70 years or max of 80-90 years, but we are such crazy thinking creatures and we are curious enough to know how this world/universe will end in billions or trillions of years after.  And here we have this book which explains in every possible way how this universe might end ! I felt the end which the author explains as a beautiful one, not tragic. Everything in this world should end, a movie, a book, a trip. Everything needs a conclusion and a most possible end. That is also happening to this universe in a couple of billions of years. What we need to do is to read a book, have some tea and enjoy the very moment :)
