Ehhh I don't know; I think this has been my least favorite so far for some reason. I still enjoyed it, but I feel like the storylines are getting repetitive & not that there's anything wrong with Harlow or Rukh but I just didn't like them quite as well. Could just be that Kira & Aehako's story was a hard one to follow.

One of my favorite installments in the series. At this point in the series, you're fully immersed in the world and its "rules", which helps you get over the whole "knock over the head and thrown over the shoulder caveman style kidnapping" meet-cute. The author somehow was able to go from that to having Rukh be my favorite blue alien guy in the bunch. I wasn't expecting more Raahosh lore which was fun. I did get a little emotional when Harlow fully realizes she will be okay, and so will her baby

I think any book that followed Barbarian Love would be hard for me because I loved that book so much. This one ended up being okay, but it wasn't my favorite. I felt like the first half of it was really repetitive of the second book because we had kind of the same setup. For example, Harlow was kidnapped at the end of the previous book, and the beginning of this book backtracked to see what happened through her point of view, just like the second book did with Liz. The similarities continued, but I did like how it tied back into that book through Rukh and Raahosh. It was just a little annoying that it felt so repetitive. However, we got some of the babies in this book! I've been so curious about them, and it was a lot of fun seeing them appear. Plus, I was curious how long they would be pregnant. It turns out they aren't pregnant as long as the alien women are, but they are pregnant longer than a typical Earth pregnancy. We did a time jump a year when they started having kids, and I really want to see Kira and Aehako's baby!
