this was very interesting and informative. I listened to it on audiobook and the narrator was enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised with how many things I was already doing with my daughter and I got a few new ideas to try going forward.

This one perspective of parenting characteristics and…it’s just that : one perspective.

I did not agree with everything, and that truism for me does not diminish this work.

Definitely thought provoking and several parental responses and intentions to consider.

Wanted to read this as a inner child re parenting myself but I'm bored

There were a couple good and helpful chapters but it was so repetitive and so much of the advice was quippy and very simple.
informative

I found *most* of this to be good parenting advice in general. There are a lot of take aways here that would work well for any child.

I think I went in to this expecting more than what was offered, hence my lower rating. Parts of this felt very generic. The "for Dads" notes at the end of each section felt very much like a TLDR note for Dads. I didn't find that as endearing as it was intended.

On the positive side of things, there were times during this book that I felt as though I was being parented. It was a feeling akin to watching an episode of Bluey. This is as high of a compliment as I can think to give a parenting book.

3 1/2

Useful and worthwhile.
