This will be a reread book

This is a fairly good text and commentary on current issues facing girls and their parents.
However, I feel like most of the points have already been stated before by other authors.
I also do not agree with the ascertation that if a girl works hard enough they will achieve their dreams - this is a very first world philosophy, and sometimes people can work their bones off and still not achieve their dreams - I think this, too, is important to teach our girls.

If you are looking for a parenting book that isn't too bogged down with data or real life experiences, this is a great option. It was a quick read with some easy to implement ideas. The research was there (and linked) if you wanted to do a deeper dive, but it was succinctly stated in ways that made it easy to digest for the average reader.

I already do most of the suggestions so found it a bit repetitive, but that doesn't take away from the message. A really solid parenting book to check out.

This is fantastic read if you are financially privileged and do not deal with any kind of disability. Just know that this book does not contain the profound musings of a seasoned parent/education professional/developmental psychologist. It's the teachings of a magazine writer with 2 kids under 10.

As far as parenting books go; this one is pretty solid. The items discussed are truly good for both boy and girls, but definitely some really important bits for girls. I truly appreciate when a book acknowledges, in a realistic way, how managing behaviors can go. That wins so many points for me!

A lot of basics, unless you've never spent a single thought about what it means to be a girl in this society.
Some pieces of advice solid, some I disagree with.
