I do love when Gaiman brings different pantheons together and explores how they might interact with one another.
This has got to be the best volume so far. Everything is so well-paced and, really, it's this giant rollercoaster of emotions. The closure in the end hit me deep.
Imam strah da priznam da sam se navukao na serijal o Sendmenu. A Sendmen 4: Sezona sumaglica je samo učvrstio tu vezu između nas. Ovo je možda i najbolji broj koji sam do sada pročitao iz serijala.
Već sam spominjao da je Sendmen prvi strip koji sam u životu čitao. I sve više postajem svestan i oduševljen time kolika je moć stripa. A ujedno koliko mora biti dobar tim koji radi na stripu. Od scenarija, preko olovke, do bojenja, i sve to da se uklopi tako dobro i savršeno. Oduševljen sam.
Ovaj broj prati jednu širu priču podeljenu na osam svezaka i kao takva je vrlo zanimljiva. Baš sam jedva čekao da stignem do kraja i odgonetnem šta će se desiti. A ceo tom se vrti oko pitanja – Šta se dešava sa paklom kad iz njega proterate sve koji su tamo?
U ovom broju ćemo se susresti i sa (skoro) svim Svevremenima i osetiti u kakvom su međusobnom odnosu. Do sada smo susreli Smrt i Strast, pa je zanimljivo upoznati i ostale. Sve ostalo što bih rekao bilo bi previše otkrivanja detalja. Ovo je strip koji mora da se pročita i doživi sopstvenim čulima. Posebno sva ta bića koja se spominju su veoma zanimljiva, a za neka od njih ste sigurno već čuli u nekim drugim stripovima, pa i filmovima.

Seasons Of Mist is one of my favorite parts of Sandman. I love the worldbuilding, how it made [a:Mike Carey|9018|Mike Carey|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1334894864p2/9018.jpg]'s [b:Lucifer, Book One|17137616|Lucifer, Book One (Lucifer, #1)|Mike Carey|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1369016441l/17137616._SY75_.jpg|24941349] possible, and the introduction to the family structure of The Endless. By all rights, it should be a five star book. But, art-wise, compared to the other volumes, Seasons Of Mists is a bit of a disappointment. After the prologue (which is gorgeous), it pretty much looks like a run-of-the-mill Vertigo books from the early 90s. Not bad, but not up to the standards of the previous volumes.
Everyone should still read it. The story is excellent, and the art is fine, but even the remastering they did for the Absolute Edition doesn't make the final portion of the story look modern or interestingly dated.

I was a bit disappointed with the resolution of the banquet / hell story, it felt a bit too easy in its solution and the 'disturbing' change of hell's rule did not really get to me. But overall I'm enjoying The Sandman even more than I did last time I read them. There are so many great little details and beautiful sentences catching me off guard and the short stories work so well sometimes I enjoy them even more than the main narrative. Also 'Order' manifesting as a cardboard box cracked me up. My favourite part of the story.

I've been enjoying every volume of this series, but this has by far been the best. I love the Endless family. It is a really neat concept to have Dream, Death, Desire, Despair, Destiny, Delirium, and Destruction be an almost god-like family, but I love it even more because these characters are so human and dysfunctional. Neil Gaiman is always in his element when he gets into gods/mythology and this did not disappoint. I loved seeing the gods from different places interacting with each other along with fairies, demons, and angels. Even the story of the ghosts at the boys school (which didn't have a lot to do with the rest of the story line) was very enjoyable and imaginative. I'm so looking forward to continue with this series!

Σε αυτό τον τέταρτο τόμο είχαμε μια οικογενειακή συνάντηση των Endless, την εμφάνιση μιας παλιάς αγαπημένης, τον Lucifer που βαρέθηκε να είναι ο κυρίαρχος της Κόλασης, νεκρούς που κυκλοφορούν ελεύθεροι, ένα κλειδί και πολύ κόσμο που το διεκδικεί. Πολλά πράγματα μαζεμένα, είχε κάποια πολύ ωραία κομμάτια που είχαν ενδιαφέρον αλλά κάποιες άλλες φορές βαριόμουν και λίγο........γούστο είχε αλλά όχι από τους αγαπημένους μου τόμους.......
(*επίσης οι άγγελοι ελπίζω να μην ξαναεμφανιστούν! τα γράμματα με τα οποία μιλούσαν με πέθαναν!!)
