Inventive and clever. You can feel the author trying to work through something on the page. His books read like movie scripts to me.

This book was interesting and not one I would have read, but someone gave it to me and recommended it. An alien comes to earth with a mission to prevent humans from solving the Reimann hypothesis. If humans solve this mathematic hypothesis, the universe is at risk and they can not take that chance. He takes over the body of Andrew Martin who has solved it but did not reveal this yet and starts living the life of a human. Very interesting!

I was surprised how much I grew to enjoy this book, not only its reminders of things we forget about being human, but even the pacing and somewhat unique pacing of narration. I have enjoyed other books by this author and look forward to more!

A strangely moving (and often strange) existential tale of humanity. With bits of Kurt Vonnegut (the good Vonnegut) and Douglas Adams (who was always good), Matt Haig's The Humans isn't perfect, but then what is? Much of the second act felt tedious, but when it came together in the third, I couldn't help but feel like it was worth it.

Fairly entertaining, but reads like a children’s book, and the premise and much of the novel was very predictable (been done before many many times). Also way too much exposition — simple takes on the human condition littered with cliches and  empty quotes.
