Kaitlyn Colby is definitely a klutzy sometimes hot mess, but that’s sometimes what life hands you when you are a single working mom trying to co-parent with your ex-husband. Kaitlyn is quickly approaching 40 and has let herself feel ‘second best’ for too long. With the help of her friends she decides to try to be more confident and to go after what she wants. What does does she want? Hunter the sexy marketing executive who wants her to lead the brand project for his company or her ex-husband?

The dialogue in this book is OTT funny and definitely will keep you entertained. The adult humor is awesome! The Sweet Water Circle ladies have been friends for decades and they certainly know how to support each other. I look forward to their future adventures.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you love ‘Sex and the City’, you will love this book. Kait is trying to run her life but her ex husband keeps coming back for more and her job is about to change. Her company lands a new account and the person working on the account asked for her specifically to work with. This was after accidentally insulting him. What could go wrong?

This is the story of Kait and her friends who support her every step of the way. It is a very light hearted book with a lot of sexual overtones. The overtones remind me of middle school. I did laugh out loud at some of the extremely embarrassing situations Kait gets into.

Overall i felt the book was predictable but in a good way. This is a book you want to read when you want to laugh and cringe at the same time.

I received a copy from voracious readers only to read and review.

I didn’t want to like Kaitlyn. I generally don’t like main characters who have low self esteem or in kaitlyn’s case none what so ever but Grayson Avery know how to write a comeback story. I loved the redemption in this book and the ending was sweet.

In full disclosure, I won this book in one of the Giveaways and I was beyond excited as I have been entering for giveaways for so long and never won one. Super excited to read this.

I also usually read crime/thriller/suspense type books, so this genre wasn't one I normally would choose, but I wanted to try something different. This year I really want to step outside of my usual reads and try lots of new genres.

THE GOOD:
This is a light read and fun. I finished it in one sitting as I really need a positive book and something super easy to read. The storyline was all about Kaitlyn (duh) who is a single mom and pining for her ex-husband until she meets another very handsome man.

THE NOT SO WONDERFUL:
On an unusual note, there were quite a few typos in the book which I honestly have never seen in a book. I figure that it has to go through so many proofreaders, so this was surprising to me - but I know it has nothing to do with the book itself - just a side note.

I think one of the most disappointing things about this book is I honestly didn't give a hoot about the main character - or really any of the characters - at all. Kaitlyn was always portrayed as this wimpy, harried single mom and I immediately didn't like her. She didn't seem like a very caring mom - and as a mom - I had a hard time with this. She just seemed to be too stressed all the time about herself and her ex-husband, going out with her friends, and then the new "hunky" guy. I mean what was there to like?

The rest of the book was "will they or won't they" which sigh...I'll save the ending. There just wasn't much substance to this book. It seemed like every Hallmark movie I've seen (and that's not many) and so many other movies I've already seen. Nothing really new or exciting going on.

I wanted to like this so much sheerly because of the fact that it was a giveaway book - again super exciting to have won. However, I would be doing a disservice if I wasn't honest. I know I won't bother reading any of the other books in what seems to be a series as it was just too boring and I cannot recommend it at all.
