This was enjoyable and very easy read. Kari is a human woman who holds a small amount of magic. She weaves potions. She is attacked and almost killed. Three fae men save her. Unfortunately, the attack lingers slowly draining her life force. The race against the clock begins.
I found the world unique and vibrant. The world building is there but could be a little more detailed. It is fun but lacked a little in the development. The author is very descriptive, and hopefully, this series gets better with each book. It is spicy but didn't hit me as hard as I had hoped. I am looking forward to finding out more about the Carnal court though.

I enjoyed the premise of this book. The magic element was interesting, and I liked learning about all the different courts and their powers. I liked the main characters, but I feel like we didn’t get to know them well. This book was very plot driven, and I found parts of it to be boring and repetitive. Overall, this book was promising, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Yummy fae and a carnal court?
Yes please! This was a fun, high energy start to this fae series and I'm looking forward to more. Especially with that ending...

This author is so hit or miss for me
So there’s nothing really wrong with the book. I gave it 3 stars just bc the writing was fine, the characters were fine and the plot had a lot of potential. I just couldn’t get into it. The biggest thing for me was these Fae were from the Court of Carnal…..yeah it’s what it sounds like. It felt like the book would solely be about sex. In order for their power to be the strongest to heal her they have to give her pleasure. A woman who is so hurt she can’t even speak at time, a woman on the brink of death can go from no speaking bc of the pain of o a full on orgasm. I think that sums it up.
