This book is near and dear to my heart. It’s powerful and encouraging. I loved reading these stories familiar and unfamiliar alike and learning about these women in the Bible.

Really good interpretations of Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. Not 5/5 because I think the Bathsheba and Mary story were too long and could've been condensed.
A historically accurate, fictional depiction of these women of the Bible. Appropriate reading if you're doing a character study, and gives depth to characters who may only have a verse or two dedicated to them in the Bible.

I love how the author tells the stories of women in Jesus' line in new and real ways. The first three are my favorite. It was harder to connect with the last two. This was my second time reading this. The first time, I absolutely loved all of it. It does make these women's lives more "real".
These are Bible stories that I know. I like to be surprised in a book so this did not keep my attention.
Don’t ask me why it took me over a year to finish this book, I think it’s because I never wanted it to end! This book tells the stories of the 5 women in the lineage of Jesus and draws you in to want to know their stories in depth. Just so good.
