Myla’s style always annoys me so much at first I don’t think I’m going to finish it but I end up liking the story so much that it grows on me. This one dragged a bit towards the end but I was interested and I want to keep reading.

Wait... wut? Myla's not rushing into battle? Whaaaaaat?
That was my initial reaction hahaha, but of course, Myla has other responsibilities now and don't forget, she's pregnant! So yeah, she's thinking about her unborn son and tries to figure out ways that do not include kicking ass. Still... sad sad day... ;-)
It does show a more mature side of her though, she's thinking things through and acting responsibly, like a good Queen.

This instalment takes place in Antrum and on Earth. It's super fun to read how clueless they all are about modern technology :D All scenes and environments were well described, had no issue at all to follow along.

Character development was good. While we, of course, know Myla and Lincoln very well by now, it was nice to read how their relationship is growing so much on a deeper level. Understanding what the other wants to say with just a glance, knowing pretty much instantly that the person next to you is not your husband even while he looks the same,... They go full-out for each other and that's what makes them such a kickass team (and an inspiration for all).

Pacing and flow were good, I pretty much read it in one go. A nice balance between all the action and conversations to progress the story.

The book itself was well written with no (noticeable) errors.

All in all another successful instalment, truly recommend this series. So much sass, kicking ass and yes, even romance... what more do you want? :D

I never liked Sissy or Zeke.. like, at all. I fully expected Sissy to brush Myla off as crazy and was pleasantly surprised that she was 100% on her friends side

I LOVE THIS SERIES

It is such a privilege to listen to this far in the series. I feel the story getting better as it goes on. I know I have Thrax in ebook form, but listening in audio is always a completely different experience for me. Thrax follows Acca, where Myla and Lincoln are spending their honeymoon. But it's over and time to get back to work. The story is grasping and there were many times while listening in which I freaked out and was like "No way!"
I think Christina Bauer does an amazing job with narration. She reads her book the way she wants it to be read. To be heard. I was thoroughly invested in this book and I hope to listen to the next one as well. Though I might just read the ebook right now h cause I don't know if I can wait for audio. LOL

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS MY HONEST, VOLUNTARY REVIEW. I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY COPY OF THE AUDIO BOOK IN PARTICIPATION OF A BLOG TOUR. THE GIFTING OF THIS AUDIO BOOK DOES NOT AFFECT NOR INFLUENCE MY OPINION.
