One moment can change your life.
It can happen anywhere, anytime, and it usually happens when you least expect it.

I finally picked this series after seeing it on the shelves for a while and it was so damn cute and heartbreaking 🥹🩷

Ana Huang masters emotions at perfection and she had my heart in her hand for the whole book 🙌🏻

I love how she turned the cheesy lines into a joke every time and made it so authentic ✨

« I think I might die if I can’t be with you. »

🌇 Contemporary romance
🎆 Studying in Shanghai
💞 Opposites attract
👏🏻 Forced proximity
🤷🏻‍♀️ Strangers to lovers
✨ Found family

As Ana said: this book is packed with loads of banter, amazing wanderlust and steamy fun !

I can’t wait to read the next book and see how everything unravels five years later 🙇🏼‍♀️ because the ending shattered my heart 💔

« You promised you wouldn’t leave. »

Spoiler alert!!

Thought we would get the usual "the ex is lying to get what she wants"-plot but I guess not? Unless of course we get that in the next book, seeing how its description entails Blake sleeping around a lot.

This was somehow better than some of the King of Sins books, this did not feel like they were the same characters we get later on in Ana Huang's writing, which is interesting.
On that note, Huang's writing always has been very good, reading something different (big emphasis on different) shows me that again. It's just hard with the King of Sins series to see or remember because to be honest I am consumed by the fact that the characters are copied and just named differently. (basically)

It was funny, I laughed, I was like "wtf" and besides the clichés and the cheating I enjoyed this read. Let's see how the next book does - judging by the reviews I won't like it.

what the fuck was this. Okay I have had time to think more about this book, and I just really did not like it whatsoever. I feel like none of the characters were likeable, and idc about their story since it continues in book 2. Also think of every trope you hate, I guarantee it's in this book.

First of all, didn’t realize this was a duet when I picked it up, second of all, I am only going to read the next book to see if Cleo made up the whole thing. Everyone still sucks here and I hate Blake

I enjoyed it until I didn't

If We Ever Meet Again is the first book in the If Love series. It's also part one of a duet.

Farrah and Blake meet while studying abroad in Shanghai. They don’t hit it off right away. Farrah thinks Blake is a cocky football player with an overgrown ego. Blake can’t deny his attraction to Farrah, but vowed to keep his life simple after leaving football behind, which means no romance and commitments. Eventually their attraction turns into something more and before they know it, they are falling for each other. Everything was going great until one drunken mistake causes Farrah and Blake to go their separate ways.

I loved this book! I loved seeing how Farrah and Blake met and how their relationship grew. The friendship dynamic between everyone was amazing. I liked seeing how everyone navigated their new relationships while studying abroad and being away from family. My heart hurt for both Farrah and Blake at the end of this book. I will definitely be jumping into the next book immediately.

Also the narrators did a wonderful job narrating the story. They really brought the characters emotions to life.
