This could have been a really good book however the mmc cheats on the fmc and get his ex pregnant and then just leaves the fmc high and dry. Really don’t like tropes like that. Took place as exchange students in college in china for a year. Would not read again. Ex football player and interior designer

This book was so fast paced and easy to get through which is something I love. I really liked the setting of this story too (study abroad in Shanghai). However I felt like this story was kinda just meh.

So good for what it is. The first time falling in love, not just romantically but with a city and your friendship group. It perfectly captures a transformative period in your life, studying abroad, and the moments you can never recapture once time has passed. So heartbreaking but in the best, most nostalgic way!
Third person writing- not for me. I also felt there was next to no story line. Essentially love at first sight. I want to read the next one just because I feel like the story is so unfinished but I don’t know if I can put myself through the writing style again. Ana Huang- you’re still a gem in my eyes but this one just didn’t hit.
