One of my friends told me books find you exactly when you need them- this was one of them. Full of feelings & prose, love & reality, this was one for the ages.

At times the writing is very tumbleresque (not a good thing). None of tge caracters are fleshed out and it makes it hard to really care about any of them.

DNF @ 58%. Gosh, I wanted to love this book so much, but I was SO BORED. There were some parts that I loved, but not enough to continue on.

This was heartfelt and delightful, it’s filled with all of the love for he characters that I really like in most contemporary fiction. Rogers writing makes everything feel romantic and every character deeply lovable. The friendships in this story are to die for, the romance is sweet and feels genuine despite the odd circumstances and Graces struggles are far too real for far too many people stuck between cultures, expectations, or lives.

WE GET IT. The main character in this becomes a bit insufferable toward the end as they continue to spiral about the same, self-inflicted issue(s). I feel like the second half of the book dragged and could have been wrapped up sooner.
I did appreciate the representation in the friend group and queer community.

Cheesy and very basic coming of age scenes and dialogue which I was not into BUT loved the exploration of how sometimes stepping back and figuring your shit out before proceeding is the way to go
