The glass kitchen by Linda Francis Lee is a light-hearted luscious read! I absolutely fell in love with Portia, Olivia, and Cordelia, the Cuthcart sisters. From Texas to New York, this is a delicious adventure that had me laughing, crying, and dreaming of life lived on my own terms. Lee has created a magical place, The Glass Kitchen, where love and family are the staples of life. The addition of Portia’s “knowing” makes the reader dive into the story with abandon. I can’t wait to make some of the recipes that accompany this fabulous story! Cheers to Lee for a story well told!
This book is so ridiculously irritating I had to stop reading it.
Food is a healing work of grace and wonder.
After this year plus of quarantine and worry, this delightful book of whimsy reminds one of the importance and healing through food. Many of us have recipes passed down from one generation to the next that bind us to the journey that is family. This book is the right amount of spice, sugar and joy. A fast tender escape. A book club pick!! Theme - what food unites your family in good times and bad!!

This is the second book I've read by this author. I loved the characters - especially Portia with her gift of premonition expressed in cooking and tween Ariel trying to resolve her family problems on her little shoulders.

I'm admittedly a total sucker for Bakery AUs, so this variation with its premonition-food and its smoking hot romance definitely hit the spot.
I wish I read reviews before taking this out from the library. Heed the lustful warnings- this is a thinly veiled harlequin. There was far too much romance for a novel marketed as a novel of sisters. Some awkward dialogue, fun, fast-moving plot, a lot of overly sexual parts. Would recommend to those who like harlequins.
Slightly supernatural love story. Like that lemon cake book but good.
Loved Ariel. Cute character. Sweet story. Nice change from all the YA and sci fi genres i've been reading lately. Carefree.
