A good collection of stories for fans of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice Through the Looking Glass". Like most short story collections, there were a handful I couldn't get into, but the ones that I liked were quite fantastic, for a range of reasons. There was fantasy, drama, character-building, mad-hatter-esque strangeness, dungeons, strange theme parks, and more. I quite enjoyed: "Lily-White and the Thief of Lesser Night" by C.S.E. Cooney, "Mercury" by Priya Sharma, "Alis" by Stephen Graham Jones, "In Memory of a Summer's Day" by Matthew Kressel, "Sentence Like a Saturday" by Seanan McGuire, "The Flame After the Candle" by Catherynne M. Valente, and "Moon, and Memory, and Muchness" by Katherine Vaz. This is the first anthology-type short story collection gathered on a theme that I've actually completed - quite telling of the quality of work presented.

I enjoyed almost every single short story in this collection. If you’re a fan of Alice in Wonderland (which, if you’re a little bit mad like me, is a definite yes!) then this will be your cup of tea.

I enjoyed this book. I think many of the stories really captured the surrealism of Alice and captured the darkness without it becoming a dystopian cliche. It even managed to overcome my inborn dislike of short story compilations! Now if only I could find a full length novel that does the same thing!!!

I really tried to get myself to read this anthology. Sadly, nothing worked. My interest just kept on waning and waning with each story. And some of them are rather unique but just failed to retain my attention.

I am fascinated about the short stories regarding Alice In Wonderland. But nothing was to my taste, and well you can say that was why I ended deciding to just abandon it. It just didn’t work out.

I won’t review individual stories because as a collective whole, I just didn’t like any of them and none of them really kept my eye at all.

Perhaps it might be for you, but it just wasn’t for me.

there were 7 stories in this anthology which were good enough for 4 or 5 stars but a majority of the stories I am sorry to say were barely 2 stars and 3 were not finished.

The stories I rated highly were;

Eating the Alice cake
A comfort one way
Moon and memory and Muchness

I have to say as a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland stories and fanfiction of such stories, I was very disappointed by this compilation as a whole.
