DNF 6%. Who publishes this stuff? Actually, never mind that, who writes this trash? No wonder it’s free on Kindle Unlimited.
It’s achingly intent on proving it’s in Ireland so we get all sorts of statements about location amongst other random facts, like whether they’re heading north or east or whatever, as if this has any bearing on the plot.
The author has obviously never heard of ‘show, don’t tell’
It doesn’t know whether to go metric or Imperial. Speed is in km/hr but temperature is in F°. The author also doesn’t seem to know the difference between ‘k’ & ‘km’ as the protagonist is averaging “a bit over 20K a day”
And the dialogue’s shite, as the Oirish might say.

Time Chain looks so unassuming at first. A pocket-sized book with vague promises of time-traveling adventure. How could this one stand out in a sea of time travel stories?

As it happens, it stands out quite beautifully.

Time Chain is a fast-moving adventure with smooth action and a whole new spin on time travel. You journey to the rainy coast of Ireland and join two main characters: Dani, an American grad student; and Aideen, a mysterious Irish woman of middle years. She treats Dani like she's known her for years. Aideen offers Dani a couch to crash on and help with her dissertation - but that helping hand will plunge Dani into the most remarkable adventure of her life.

The story does take a little while to get going. It builds steam while you get to know Dani and Aideen, a lesbian pairing as sweet and lovely as you could ask for. They don't get nearly enough time to relax before an ominous figure arrives and summons them on a strange errand. Dani will discover that there's a lot more at stake than she could have imagined, as she finds herself at the center of a terrorist plot that could spell catastrophe for countless lives.

Time Chain is a book worth reading, if only for the time travel mechanics alone. The system is at once simple and profound - and so deeply human, somehow.

I thoroughly enjoyed this foray into time travel from Steven Decker, and I'm excited to see what other adventures he has in store.

Time Chain by Steven Decker is my first read by him and I enjoyed this book quite a lot. The first third of the book was so captivating when Dani and Aideen travel back in time. I would have loved to have the whole book that way but really the adventure helps to keep it going. Dani is in Ireland working on her dissertation when she meets Aideen and Aideen changes her life when she shows her the life as a chain link. Charles the chain master who runs the missions has a secret plan that he keeps to himself until Dani starts to unravel his plan. Will Dani make it forward to 2253 and help save the world? Well you will have to read it yourself and find out. I recommend this book, I enjoyed it and hope you will too.

This isn't my first Decker book, and I expect more great things from this author. Many fumble when writing about time travel and fail to keep it coherent. Decker does an excellent job of keeping the explanations reasonable without overdoing them. He has a knack for this, and it's clear his life experience has positively impacted his writing and storytelling ability.

I love that Orla, though displaced in time, seems timeless. The fact that in her older age, before going back to when she was 12, she had no good memories indicates that her tough life forged her into the person she was meant to become.

The characters and settings in this book are thought out and full. The interactions and relationships, especially with Aideen and Dani, are genuine at every stage. Highly recommend this book. It's well worth your weekend.

This book is more an experience than just reading a book. They have so many refreshing and aspects to this book including the original plot the great insight to relationships in those things that change with the era I love Danny, Aiden and Orla. This isn’t my first book by this author and it seems with every book they just get better. And although his genre changes the intensity does not. His books or action packed from the start and don’t let up until it’s over. I am now anxiously awaiting his next book because they’re half as good as time chain Count me in.
I highly recommend this book if you love time travel and intelligent plot in Greek characters then you need to read time chain by Stephen Dekker. Please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.

I love time-travel books, and I really enjoyed this one. It's a lot different from what I've usually read. The method of time travel was really interesting and unique. I liked the ideas of the time links, and how more than one person had to be part of the whole thing.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the romance aspect, but the plot easily overrides that. There is also promise of a sequel and I am intrigued. I wonder what will happen next. I would like to see more of Charles for sure.
