I thoroughly enjoyed this! I love the couple, and liked its inclusivity surrounding people with extreme fears. The story was also really sweet. No one is a super-idiot which is great! :) A little bit insta-lovey or I would have probably given this a higher rating.

Love how wholesome it was. But also the exploration in mental health ( agoraphobia) And the audio book for this was really good. Definitely recommend!

This was more a 3.5 but super cute story dealing with some real life things. While reading the story, I was constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. I’m not usually a fan of stories that make me feel that way but this one had a good storyline that keep me reading. For such a short book, 2 and half days of reading is super long for me; however, it is smack in the middle of a busy holiday.

***** spoilers *****

Luca’s character had me interested from the start. I know someone with a very similar fear so I could relate as someone trying to connect. I would have like to see her become stronger sooner, even though taking the trip out to California to see Griff was brave. The one downside of her character, I didn’t like that she stated herself pretty shit off towards pleasure with someone but had no problem jumping right into pleasuring moments.

Griff has me with his sense of humor. Even though they spoke for many years as kids, I thought it jumped into sex talk way to soon for the type of connections they rekindled. But, once Griff’s love shunned through for her, you could really see it was more than just sex.

Not a book I would reread but one I continue a storyline if there was a second book. Would love to know how she is as a mother.

Pen pal

I love how Luca and Griffin were set up as pen pals when they were 7 years old and continued writing each other all through high school. Nothing was off limits in their letters. Luca stopped writing after she suffered a loss, but eight years later Griffin sends her a letter at her fathers address and really lays into her about not writing back to him.
This leads them to writing to each other again and eventually Luca overriding her fears and driving with Doc to California to finally meeting Griffin. What surprises are she in for when they meet, can she get past her fears to stay with Griffin? Will they make it as a couple?
Excellent read that tackles mental health issues and long distance relationships.

Love love love!

This is one of the most heartfelt stories I've read in a long time. The story of Griffin and Luca, best friends who become estranged only to be reconnected and become lovers is very well written. This is one of my best purchases.

With a name like "Dirty Letters" written by these two authors, I was honestly expecting dirtier. This ended up being more sweet and a bit somber than anything dirty.  I could take or leave this book, honestly. It was fine.

I mean, ehh. That’s really all I have to say. I was just cringing a lot during this, and a lot of my thought process was “why did you do that?” Or “why did you say that?”.

Griffin was low key creepy, and Luca and Griffin’s relationship was a bit unhealthy. The smut was ok at best, and relationship between Griffin and Luca was borderline, instalove. Also, why did they photoshop a pen into the guys hand on the cover wtf?
