I liked this book. Would probably give it 3.5 stars if I could but I can't...Ana is a pretty good character, didn't bug me at all really and the story was entertaining.

Is this series really over? Just when it got more interesting?

Best in the series - a great lighthearted read.

I enjoyed this one but was surprised by the direction the author took the romance in. Not disappointed - just surprised. I am hoping there will be another book in the series as it seemed quite unfinished and up in the air - what with Elias
Spoiler going to the southern kingdom, her dad being mortal and dying and Ana being vampire queen
Spoiler I don't like her parents -they are awful. I love the bit where her mother tells Ana she isn't like either of them and Ana thinks - "that is possibly the nicest thing she has ever said to me" -so true! Even though her dad kind of redeems himself at the end and her mother isn't as bad as you thought she was for most of the story they are still pretty unlikeable characters and awful parents. However, I was quite happy with
Spoiler Ana's choice of Matt Thompson as I think it is nice for her to have someone who likes her, treats her properly, takes her out on proper dates and doesn't try to change her. I don't think they will be together forever but he is the right one for Ana for now. I am hoping that long term she will end up with Elias. Nic is all wrong for her, he might love her but he can't accept her vampire half and like Thompson I can't believe he never made an effort to take her out - just the 2 of them.

I think this one might have been my favorite, just for pure suspense alone. The ending was resolved nicely, although there were a few loose ends. I would love to see another in this series.

I was actually close to giving this 5 stars, but I really didn't like the ending. It was very, very sudden; the curse was lifted and everything was right in the world. Bah, humbug. And it ended on a very open note that is sure not to be closed since this is the last book in the series, and that is really friggin' annoying! But other than that I found it hard to put this book away and read in less than 3 hours - that must be a good thing.
