Wow. A banger of a book and a banger of a series. I have so many emotions right now that all I can say is, WOW! Also, PLEASE MARISSA MEYER WE NEED MORE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES!!! You can’t just leave us with that bomb you dropped in the Epilogue and also the tension hinting at more conflict brewing! 5/5 stars for this book and the entire series!

Wow. Ending twist was genius. Wanted to die a little bit when nova was like “everyone has a nightmare… maybe I’m yours

The ending felt like a cop out but I really enjoyed this book

That being said, I did get angry at every adult in this series. They kept making dumb choices and I had to put the book down for a week.

Honestly this is such a good series. I truly did not know who I was rooting for or who I wanted to win. Also Marissa Meyer writes her characters so well. None of her books ever felt like they had the same voice

What a great ending to an amazing trilogy! Since I listened to the Audiobook, I might spell some names wrong. I have to put spoilers as well because wow.

I knew everything would be revealed in that Nightmare was Nova and that the Centinel was Adrian but the way they were revealed was interesting. The first time they found out about Nova as Nightmare, they should've realized everything made perfect sense. She had everything that Nova had access to. But because Narcissa covered for her, they let her go. But then Nova never really went back to the Renegades.

Later on, when Nova just randomly spits out that Phobia was the one to kill Adrian's mother. I was like what the heck and had to scroll back to listen to that again. And then we find out that Adrian had created Phobia because of his comic book drawings. I'm glad Phobia is dead though. He never should've been there anyways.

When the Anarchists went to the "execution" of Ace and used the bee stings with Agent N to neutralize many Renegades, that was actually so smart. Horrible, but smart.

I'm glad Ace was neutralized and put down. I had a feeling he was the one who had orchestrated the murder of Nova's family. No way would the Renegades have had a hand in it. Because of Phobia, both Adrian's mother and Nova's parents were killed. Adrian's mother was supposed to be protecting Nova's parents.

I loved the ending with Max coming to help save the day. Now so many people have powers and Max can be with his loved ones without him draining their powers any longer. Also love the use of the Supernova and what a fitting title for the book ;)

Also omg the epilogue made me jaw drop. MAGPIE IS REALLY EVIE AND SHE IS NOVA'S THOUGHT TO BE DEAD SISTER AHHHHHH I HOPE NOVA FIGURES IT OUT SO THEY CAN BE REUNITED!

(rounding down bc the prev book w the same rating I rounded up)
Straight away I loved how this book had some darker notes, it definitely increased the depth of the characters and plot. Really had me hooked in the first half, esp the part about Winston broke my heart. However later on I noticed myself starting to lose interest, I think there were too many predictable or convenient things. The battle was too long and the ending was so-so. What annoyed me lowkey was the epilogue; it just felt unnecessary since there wasn't a follow-up series + from such an annoying ass character (no offence)...
