A good end to a good series! I loved these characters and this world!! I wasn't thrilled with the ending of the novel, though the epilogue was fantastic, but overall I really enjoyed everything and all the different points of view and how nothing was simply good or evil which made it feel much more realistic. Highly recommended!!

This book was AMAZING and a great way to end off a wonderful series. Although I definitely need her to write a book of short stories or extend the epilogue. (Like the Lunar Chronicles, iykyk). I just feel like there’s some loose strings about how Nova and Maggie never knew that they were related and how the reunion could probably ease both of their traumas, how Gatlon City is doing, how everyone must feel knowing that they all have superpowers (I would love a short story on Ruby’s brothers because they wanted to be heros!!) and more that I’m sure Marissa could come up with. I know this series is still new so there may be time, but if this is the end, I’ll just have to sit guessing. All in all, this book was so enjoyable and it restored my love for superheros!

What a safe, pallid ending.
Nova is one of the most irritating and hypocritical protagonists I have ever read about, but I was supposed to like her. I was supposed to root for her being morally gray. Yeah, okay. Her romance with Adrian was so confounding because he didn't even seem to care all that much when her alias was revealed. Just, "nova can't be nightmare! i wuv her so much!" the whole time. I cared a lot more about Oscar and Ruby's relationship development than the main couple's.
Speaking of relationships, this book does the thing that so many YA books do when they couple up the side characters just so everyone has someone. The relationship in question only gets two throwaway lines and no other development, but win for gay people everywhere, I guess.
The artifacts and the vault already felt like things Meyer had tossed in last minute, but in this book things were just happening so that the world could fit the story she had in mind. This is fine when drafting. Not so much when you have published the first novel and established the rules of the world.
Honey Harper, my former favourite anarchist, is so out of character in the last 40% that I was sure somebody had drugged her and it would be a big reveal.
Ace Anarchy, the guy literally nobody wanted (or cared) to see out of prison besides Nova and the three other og anarchists was cartoonishly evil and he rendered the trilogy's theme of questioning what good and evil truly are moot.
This rating is a 3.5, but I'm rounding it down. Three stars because despite its copious flaws and it being 549 pages long, it was fast paced and held my interest very well. There were some lovable characters in here (Max, Callum, and Narcissa). And that epilogue?? Insane note to end on.
Maybe I have bad taste, but I had a great time.

nova and adrian made me BAWL, and i really want to thank marissa meyer for writing such an amazing series. although i do wonder if it'd really be a better society if all of them were stripped of their powers and there were no prodigies at all, like nova had always wanted. and also that parallel made me gasp out loud. the prologue in renegades: we were all villains in the beginning, and the epilogue in supernova: we were all heroes in the end. also i really hope that we get a sequel series hehehhe i'd really love to see more of magpie and max

Another fantastic series conclusion by the fantastic Marissa Meyer! I felt the story wrapped up so damn well and I was on the edge of my seat for nearly this entire book.
