The 4th instalment in the Thursday Murder Club series sees the gang investigating the murder of an old friend after they get caught up in the theft of some heroin smuggled into Britain. Connie Johnson reappears from (from jail!) from the previous book, this time as an advisor to them, and a few new residents from Coopers Chase get pulled along for the ride. 

It’s an emotional one, with a death which genuinely had me in tears as it was so beautifully written. Despite being a “cosy crime”, it certainly packs a punch when it needs to. I just hope it’s not the last we see of the Thursday Murder Club!
