I wasn’t interested in it. And it was really complex writing and I’m stressed and maybe I’ll read it at another time when I have the patience for deep writing.

It was interesting to look at what are mostly well-known stories through an adult and academic lens. It gets a bit repetitive over time, but the lesser-known stories help to break it up.

I had been wanting to read tales in their original versions.
And while some tales were enjoyable, most were poor in today's literary standards.

I found I was reading, just to get passed the tale and onto the next, but the next was just as dull.

If you're studying literature history, this is probably an important book to read. However, if you're reading for pleasure I think modern fairytales are more enjoyable.
