It's so short...I cannot accurately rate the reading...so midrange is what we are doing :)

A quick intro for the series. Good development of the characters, leaves you wanting to know what happens next. Nice tease.

ARC provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a nice little novella that introduces us to both Hayden and Tenley. We find out how they first met, how Tenley came to work at Serendipity, and a little bit more about each of them as individuals instead of as a couple. My only real critique is that I don't see why this is a novella and could not have been made a part of Clipped Wings. It was a nice little introduction into these two and I enjoyed the quick read. 3.5 stars.

I've been a fan of Helena Hunting for years and I'm so happy that she has finally published this series. I will always read anything she produces and I look forward to seeing what else she puts out in the future. I can't wait until the next installment is released.

This was just getting good when it was done. It is not a long read/listen and it basically just gives you a quick lead up to the story. Don't misunderstand it isn't back story at all but it leads you into this series. I can't wait to get into it now however it really doesn't seem necessary...I guess once I read bk 1 (thought this was bk one but is .5) than I will know if this short start of the series helped the lead in.

I don’t know if it’s necessary to read this before the first book, but it definitely made me want to start reading it (I’m not right now because I need to knock some shorter reads off my list first but I hope to get to it before the end of December).

A cute and short introduction to the main characters of the Clipped Wings series.
