This is a second chance later in romance story, and it's about forgiveness and giving second chances (obviously). Overall, it was a really cute story and I do recommend if these tropes are your vibe.

This one was a bit longer than the other 2, but it did the story a disservice. Eve and Jimmy got back together at the halfway mark. The truth came out about everything. It was sweet that both of these characters are older. Most second chance romances are 30s not older folks. So it was a nice change. However, it dragged the last 100 pages. That's the only reason this isn't a 5 star read. Everything else was on point.

I received an ARC copy of this book via BookFunnel, and am leaving my honest and voluntary review!
This story captured my attention right at the start! It was such a quick, yet impactful read! While I found it really enjoyable, I did find a couple flaws and or opportunities that could’ve made the book even better, such as the reason behind Jimmy and Eve’s broken marriage, and how quickly all was forgiven.
It’s not certain in the beginning, what happened between Jimmy & Eve to lead to their troubled marriage, but when you do find out, it definitely touches your heart ❤️ What we do know in the beginning is that the family bakery burnt and leaves everything in ruins. Jimmy leaves behind the family with no explanation. Months later, their daughter, Ella, parent trapped them by having them help set up for the reopening of their bakery, and soon to be arrival of her child. I really enjoyed seeing how everything worked out. From the baking, to the descriptions of awkward moments from things left unspoken, to the smells of cinnamon, and pine filling the air, you truly feel apart of the story, and you could feel the emotion, and a sense of realness in the characters, and before you know it you’ve reached the end! ❤️
The story was overall so well written, and beautifully wrapped up! I really recommend this to anyone that loves a good romance, and Christmas/ Hallmark vibes!

We can read this story in one sitting, and welcome all the holiday vibes it brings.
It present us with a married couple that after a tragedy, grew appart and some things were never openly discussed and that brought them even further away.
Eve has been through a fire in her bakery. Things went sour from that and even if she doesn't know the reason why she finds herself alone and decides to leave her home town. One year later, her daughter needs her help and she steps up and decides is time to face her demons and return home.
Jimmy ran away after the fire. The guilt couldn't let him stay. So he ran, and spent one year away. The following christmas he returns, after his daughter's plea.
We can see all the plotting Ella (the daughter) made to get them back in the same place.
They meet once again, but with that akwardness of being appart for too long, but still loving that person deeply. They decide to forgive each other and their past. My thought is that some things were a little rushed. After spending more than one year appart, Eve forgives and forgets in a blink of an eye. I know this story is trying to relate all the forgiveness related to the holiday spirit, but it was way too fast. And Jimmy has a dicotomy going on. On one moment he believes he can't be forgiven for what he has done and the on next moment he has anger issues when someone calls his flaws. This were my only concerns in this book.
Other than this, we had a light and easy read, that can put us in holiday cheer, and wanting to welcome all the x-mas things.

This parent trap Christmas romance has my heart. I truly enjoyed this book. I loved the imagery and the characters. I loved the message about forgiveness and communication. And I may or may not have fussed at the FMC to give the MMC some grace lol. Great read.

A perfect Christmas read to remind us of the magic of the season, that forgiveness is a journey, and second chances sometimes lead to the happiest of endings.
Join Eve and Jimmy, an estranged couple thrown together for the holidays by their daughter in a parent trap situation, as she tries to help rekindle the romance lost between them.
This author was new to me but after reading this amazing book, I know I want to read more of her work. This story was everything you want in a small town romance, with a tight knit community that feels more like family, and all the warmth and sweetness you love in Hallmark holiday movies. Woven throughout, is the town’s own Cherokee Legend that was the perfect reflection of Eve and Jimmy’s journey to forgiveness.
This was my favorite standalone in the Sweet Christmas Kisses Series thus far. You won’t regret reading this, I highly recommend it.

This one was like reading a holiday hallmark movie. I mean I could literally picture it on the tv screen in my mind. It’s a predictable, feel good, cozy holiday story. I found the writing to be very much in the style of telling me instead of showing me, but this may be due to the fact that this is a novella and the author was trying to pack in some deeper moments and storylines in a short amount of time. If you’re looking for a book that you know is going to make you feel warm and fuzzy in the end, this one’s for you.

Willy Lyons has written a sweet Christmas themed novel with Love Rekindled at Evergreen Inn. It is a heartwarming tale in which two estranged parents are being set up by their daughter.
This was such a lovely book to read. The story centers around forgiveness and what better time to do that then at Christmas time? I really felt for Eve and I also understood Jimmy, because he feels a lot of guilt. Willa Lyons did a wonderful job, as a reader you can understand what he went through.
The writing style is flowing and the book is easy to read, which I loved. It is the perfect book to cozy up with. Love Rekindled at Evergreen Inn is a good heartwarming story and a great addition to the Sweet Christmas Kisses series.
