Did I ugly cry several times? Absolutely. But did I cringe A LOT? Also yes unfortunately.
Things I liked: the relationship building between all of the characters, the reconnections made, the raw emotions, Rosemary 🥰😍, Joe, and Remy’s characters, Logan’s development at the end of the book
Things I did not like: Logan for the first 75% of the book, the cringey use of any queer celebrity’s name (ex: Lady fucking Gaga) when Logan was really saying what the fuck, the sheer amount of poop references and talk of adult diapers I KNOW that’s part of taking care of an older sick adult but my stomach could not handle that. *if you have a weak stomach when it comes to talking about diarrhea do not read this book LMAO*

There were several parts of this book where I laughed out loud. And parts of it were sad and hard and made me cry. It was a nice break from the rigid romcom study l structure and has amazing LGBT representation !

I don’t know what gave me the audacity to read this.  Oh my god, I’m sobbing.  This book was so good—this was the kind of book that makes you take a look at your life and go do the spontaneous thing, to live life to the fullest.

This book was amazing, funny, and so very heartbreaking no matter how much you try to prepare for it.  This book hurt, but wow was this written so beautifully.

The characters were immaculate and so detailed, so filled with personality and felt so real to read.  The adventure and humor of this book was endearing and I loved all the detours they made along the way.  I loved how sassy Joe could be, all the while stubbornly living his life to the fullest.

Highly recommend this book, five starts all the way.  Now, if you’ll excuse me I have to continue crying my eyes out.

As a death-positive, sober lesbian with ADHD who loves label makers, a good 3-ring binder, & road trips, and would love to write a book one day, I think this book was written specifically for me... I mean, it even contains the specific nickname I use for my favorite 7-year-old! 🐓

Personal connections aside, this book is incredible. Alison Cochrun knows how to create well fleshed out, multi-dimensional characters who feel REAL and don’t just live in the little bubble of the story you’re reading, and I love that. I also really appreciated the ADHD representation, and showing how the same disorder can affect people so differently. I definitely identify more with Rosemary’s ADHD brain (a kind that people often don’t read as ADHD), but I have my Logan moments 😅

Can we talk about the skill it takes to weave a story about dying and grief into a romantic comedy and make it work? There is so much heart and care woven into this story. Joe’s life and death is as central as the relationship between Rosemary and Logan, and each plot point makes the other better. All this to say, Alison Cochrun is for sure going on my auto-buy author list and you should definitely read this book.

Alison Cochran has managed to craft what I believe is one of the best road trip stories I have ever read! I loved the pacing, the characters, the scene building, the HUMOR!! There is so much I can say about this book.

Let's start with the happy stuff. Besides the fact that the book is hilarious, I loved how Cochrun uses the story to show travel through the southern states of America through a queer lens. Readers can expect to find themselves surprised by the love in the queer communities in different states during the journey.

Another happy-ish thing I liked was the characters. They were all so well-rounded and felt so REAL where I felt connected in a way. Like in Cochrun’s previous book, KISS HER ONCE FOR ME, HERE WE GO AGAIN has really great anxiety and ADHD representation. I also loved having a main character on the ace spectrum.

Now for the sad part.The main premise of the story and reason for the road trip is to get a man dying of cancer to his desired dying location across the country. The experience of witnessing someone deteriorate and eventually die from cancer is a major occurrence throughout the book, so keep this in mind while reading and take care of yourself.

I'm obsessed with this book! I knew it was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and it definitely lived up to the hype!!

This book fucking ruined me. Absolutely madness. I cried a lil while I was reading it at work on my fucking lunch break. 

A rom-com about death? Sign me the FUCK up! This was beautifully written and the ache and pain I felt not only from Rosemary and Logan but also the side characters, Joe, Remy, and more. 

I will always recommend Cochruns books. They're brilliant. So well made.
