Alison Cochrun does it again. This books continuously builds up and rips out your heart. Knowing one of the main characters dies, does not make it hurt any less and doesn't make his loss any less real. This book truly reminded me of what it means to have a mentor who sees all of you and ensures that they push you to have what you need, not just what you want. This book also perfectly explores what it means to be a queer teenage girl who is in love with her best friend and to be intertwined at soul-level. I wasn't prepared for how much love I would feel for the characters, but I love them so much and miss being with them.
Also, thank you Alison for sharing the ways in which we build community a queer people in a world that continually reminds us how much they hate us.

Okay so the description is MILDLY misleading. It is a romcom, but it also TORE MY HEART OUT. I loved the relationship reconstruction between Rosemary and Logan. I loved Joe and his character development. He wasn't pure or perfect, but wonderfully and deeply flawed.
I am slightly concerned about the designation of Orpheus (dog) as a service animal with very little actual training, but he was also delightfully real.
This book has flaws but I currently really don't care. It was wonderful.

Whew, I was not prepared for this book ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I enjoyed Alison Cochrun’s other books but this one blew me away.
