Sad but good! Kinda cringe at many points but overall i love queer people and queer joy and yeah !

I love books that make you think about life, and this one definitely delivered on that! It’s gorgeous on so many levels and had me giggling at the banter between characters. Beautiful themes of love, chosen family, and having the courage to your authentic life.

It’s giving lots of queer characters and touches on some of the struggles of growing up queer in a small town, but the majority of conflict and growth of the characters isn’t because of queerness. So there are just lovely highlights of queer love in different forms :)

I’ve been digging some dual POV lately and really enjoyed how it moved this story along!

I would not have finished this if it wasn’t for my book club, the level of cringiness was far too high.

So many types of amazing love shown throughout this book. I laughed hard, I cried even harder, and I never wanted to put the book down.

Elderly gay men getting to love openly and show young gay women a fun time in a southern MS church basement at a drag show changed my brain chemistry for the better.
