all too short, very pleasing to the obsessional optic i've cobbled together around merleau-ponty, husserl and derrida, i only remember really loving the style of this book and wanting to read a lot more of his stuff. i'm on his vibe, which reminded me of bachelard, studying the foundations of primordial language, how the fuck do we ever understand one another? it's really crazy and levinas helps me find a way to be with this craziness, as if that's something you really have to do a lot to try to find.
