Easy to read and entertaining enough but It went from crime to romance to drama to romance again.
Yet it is sold in the crime section.
I felt this mix of genres maybe stopped there being a more cohesive arc

i think one of my favorite books of all time. honestly all the twists ended up being sweet even if i thought i’d hate it moving forward. Also, Jake and his yearning. i need it. i ATE IT UP. i need it again. rereading

Enjoyed the read, however it did take a while to get through it seemed a really long one with long chapters. I think I judged a book by its cover a little too quickly and bought this based on the title and how it sounded but it wasn’t quite the thriller I expected - no serial killers involved 😂
However I did still enjoy the read and the slightly crazy weird romance bubbling away - very different to the usual romance tropes
