Twisted, filled with dark humour. This book was addictive. Its easy to read, its fun the characters are unusual. They keep you interested, I never knew what was gonna happen next which is so refreshing. I loved each twist and turn. This is a book that I won't give too much plot away talking about. Its about two people who work in an office and suspect the other is a serial killer. That's all you are getting from me. What I will say is pick this book up now! If you love dark humour your will love it. This is an amazing debut from Kate Posey and I cannot wait to read everything they write after this.

Serial Killer Games was a lot of fun and a quick read!
I never knew whether or not these characters were joking or serious. It’s part of what makes it hilarious because it’s got some morbid humor. I didn’t understand if there was actual subtext or if they were literal. I think the characters also had the same issue. They didn’t quite know what each other was talking about. Things start to come to light, and you understand.
Dolores is a character who really threw me. I could not gauge where or what she was coming from. Eventually, things come to light, and things fall into place. I was thrown by Jake, too. I don’t want to spoil anything about whether or not he’s a serial killer. I thought they did so well playing games and toeing the line.
I did not expect this book to go the way it did. It’s a light and fun romance for most of the book but takes a more serious tone. It’s so interesting how life just finds a way to sneak in and throw you off balance. I loved how the relationship between Dolores and Jake grew. They had some great banter and a very slow-burn romance.
Overall, this was a lot of fun! It wasn’t your typical romance, and that was nice. It does take a more serious tone, but all the jokes and games help keep it from getting too intense. There’s some wonderful found family!
Thank you, Berkley, for the e-arc! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Thank you to Berkley and Book Sparks for the free book and to PRH Audio for the complimentary audiobook. These opinions are my own.
This is such a unique story. I don't even know what to call it. It's a bit romance, a bit twisty suspense, and a lot funny. This book is for all those who have a sense of humor that's a little dark. Especially if you're feeling the need for a bit of an escape right now, this could be for you.
Dolores and Jake work together at an office job. And they both side eye each other frequently. They're sure the other is up to something nefarious. In her case, she's pretty sure that he is a serial killer. Neither of them is particularly likeable. And that's absolutely intentional.
The twists and turns in this novel took me for quite the ride. I could not believe where the story went. And yet, the conclusion brought everything together in a way that made perfect sense and was so satisfying. I recommend reading this when you're looking for a genre bending book that plays with literally everything and doesn't take itself too seriously.

I was vibing with this book, even though I was so confused. But I reached a scene that just made me not want to continue wasting my time.

Thanks to @berkleypub and @berkleyromance for the gifted e-ARC and to @prhaudio for the ALC!
It took me a long time to understand what was happening in this book! Which was intentional. Are both MCs serial killers? What are they hiding? I kept forming theories and then discarding them and forming new ones. So many theories! And yet I found the characters likable and the ridiculous situations they got into made me laugh.
Both narrators did an excellent job with the dual POVs, and both voiced all the side characters well. It was an excellent listen.
I feel like if I share anything else I’ll end up giving spoilers. So I’ll just say it was a fun and amusing ride. Definitely worth the read.

Well, that definitely took a different turn than what I was expecting but I really liked this book. The intro of the two main characters, each putting off what I would consider "serial killer vibes", mysterious, moody, suspicious, and drawn to death. I loved Dodi's and Jake's banter and little games they play trying to figure out each other. I love the twist and it had lots of laugh out loud parts (maybe I am a bit morbid myself). Yes, there are dead bodies and murderers and also the dismantling of a body as a sort of first date. It also has lots of sweet moments about found family and how it doesn't matter if there is no relation by blood. The characters feel nicely real, if a bit twisted but honestly that kind of applies to most humans. They were easy to like (most of them anyways) and helped make the story full.
I would say this book does a great job of balancing seriousness, darkness, humor, and touching scenes to make up one fun and funny story that I really enjoyed reading! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to enjoy this book and I will definitely watch out for any more that Kate Posey writes because I love that dark sense of humor!
