This was absolutely one of the best trilogies I have ever read. I read all three books in less than a week because I just couldn't put them down. Without giving too much away, this is the story of a few hundred people who are the last of humanity. It is set about 2000 years in the future. I'm going to be hard-pressed to find anything to read next because this was just that good.

usually i love an open ending. this was not it.

plus there's a whole lot of action here - i completely understand where it came from, it was the logical structure for the final book of this fast-paced trilogy - but it was SO much. there's like 15 lines of dialogue in this book, if that. it's just not the kind of thing i'm a big fan of.

overall, the series is good. i finished the whole thing in five days i believe? i don't think i've ever read something that fast before. great if you need a distraction or to get out of a slump.
