Picks up right where the last book left off. The vibe was different with this book, now that the mystery was gone and it was more tense and action packed than the creepy tense vibe from the first and second book. But it was really great.
I loved the solution they came to with the situation at the end, and it's something I didn't even consider (and I love it when a book surprises me this way, so many are rather predictable). I didn't love the whammy ending with the epilogue. The book would have been perfectly fine, better even IMO, with out it.

literally wanted to throw my kindle at the wall after the epilogue but okay.
this series is so tasty you all absolutely must read it. the first book is a bit infuriating because you’re so in the dark but i promise once you figure everything out at the end, the next two books fly by and are so incredibly fast-paced and intense. wishing i could reread these for the first time again
