Tessa Bailey can be so hit or miss. For e.g. I read (and really liked) It Happened One Summer, but had to DNF Hook Line & Sinker (the sequel in that series). I enjoyed her book Window Shopping, but this book? Really bad.
The plot was a bit all over the place. The transition from strangers(-ish) to kissing was so abrupt, and the third act "breakup" was so ridiculously contrived that I found myself skimming most of it.
If you're one of those who doesn't know what to expect with this author, skip this one, honestly. Not worth it.

Right kids, I’m sick of having to listen to girls be described as dressing badly. It’s not whimsical and cute, it’s Ick. Make these women sexy!!

That aside, I liked this, could have done with more drama though!

This book was not interesting at all. I found myself just wanting it to end. The plot with the letters wasn’t great and provided a trope that felt along the lines of miscommunication that I hated.

2.8/5. The way the last three chapters were just thrown together still has me shocked.

!Spoiler Endings-ish!
Not that the book was going to be a 5 star read anyway but the cringy miscommunication explosion was it for me. I think it just wasn’t my vibe but still it could have ended after his speech and her explaining her feelings for him right after he did and mutual “i love you”’s and i would have given it MAYBE 3.5. I don’t know just really unnecessary to me.
