another solid small town Tessa Bailey book. if you like her writing style, there’s no reason not to pick this up.

I did think the secret love letter plot line was kinda dumb, but something’s gotta cause some conflict, right?

anyways, these two really like to get down and dirty in the literal dirt (why so much outdoor smut, Tessa?), but seems about right for a gardener, at least.  I really could have skipped chapter 21.

I will for sure pick up the other book in the duology when it comes out!

A very cute hometown rom com. I love the idea of the anonymous letters and the characters are very cute together. While it was basically instant love, their past connection did help it feel a little more natural. I really liked the balance of spice to plot in this book. I also appreciated the inclusion of Julian's battle with anxiety.

Hallie is a the chaotic owner of Becca’s Blooms whose had a secret crush for the last 15 years. And now that the crush is back in town, sending him a drunk secret admirer letter seems like the obvious choice.

Julian is a college professor who is ruled by strict times and schedules. He comes back to Napa, to the family vineyards, to take a reprieve from teaching to write a novel. One that keeps getting interrupted by an annoyingly intriguing gardener.

I really liked the banter and the “dirty talk” but I felt like the story lacked a little bit of the depth that I really wanted from it.

Overall solid and I’ll definitely read the next installment in the series.
