Following on directly from events in [b:Maelstrom's Edge: Faith|25343941|Maelstrom's Edge Faith (Battle for Zycanthus Book 1)|Tomas L. Martin|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1429976565s/25343941.jpg|45082532], this see the Karists' resorting to extreme measures to bring the enlightenment of the Maelstrom to Zycanthus.
Sheriff Wynn Kyle finally gets some help to try and stop their plans.
There's a lot more action in this book, as the opposing forces square up to each other as one group tries to destroy a world and the other tries to save it.
Adds a few more new characters, but most of the action concentrates on those from book 1.
A good and interesting pair of books to get into this sci-fi series.
