I kind of liked Kennit until this book, his raping of Althea was just unforgivable. As for Malta I loved her character progression in this book, she grew from a detestable spoiled brat to a responsible women throughout the 3 books. In this book I liked Winstrow less than I had the previous two books, his excusing of the entire rape situation was just blood-boiling to read. Another complaint I have with the book is the pairing of Althea and Brashen.

The Liveship Traders Trilogy is now my favorite in the Realm of the Elderlings world/series so far by Robin Hobb. I am in awe of the story telling, the characters, their growth - I didn’t want this to end. I wanted to hear more of their stories, their lives and felt so invested in all of them that it’s hard to accept that I reached the end. I’m excited to continue on in this world with The Tawny Man Trilogy next - beginning with Fool’s Errand. I highly recommend this world and the books within it to any Fantasy lover! Five stars!

I don't know where to even begin with this review. This book was excellent. The prose was great, the characters were great. Everything that I wondered whether it would be utilized eventually was, in fact, eventually utilized. I was also glad when theories I started developing last book came to fruition in this book.

I wish there was more to say on this, and I'm sure there probably is, but honestly, I'm just really glad I discovered Robin Hobb this year.
