From what I remember when I read this back in the day, it was really hard to put down. Engaging characters, unique setting and problems, and just over all a good story. Yeah, there could be improvements but nothing enough to put me off reading this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed my read. I was interested the whole time, even when the author went on long tangents about flint napping or gathering herbs or whatever. I was IN IT. The archeological research is probably outdated by now, but it’s clear this author did her homework and then some, and created some really vivid characters besides. I’m excited to read the next one!

I thought it was poorly written. I actually cringed at some parts because the writing was so bad. It was a while ago, so I can't cite specific parts, but overall it left me feeling irritated.
