Brady is so tired. He's struggling to maintain his life while simultaneously taking care of his parents, all because his brother left them. Frustration and exhausting coupled with resentment, fill Brady's heart. He can't continue like this, but how can he convince Cal to step up and help?
Time ran out. You never know when you run out of time. Brady's guilt is now added to the exhaustion, frustration, and resentment. Never knowing what his brother wanted and now a life changing development.
Trying to make everything right and keep everyone happy is a lot of work. Taking care of a baby, a farm, and three sets of bills is draining Brady. He still plans on returning to Boston, so...
That makes Katherine temporary. Katherine is more than a temporary girl, even Brady sees that. With his plans set he can't succumb to his dreams and wishes, can he?
Steamy chemistry and way touch sexual tension make Brady's decisions for him. But what happens next?
Sinverguenza, or Shameless, is a really sweet book about two people trying to deal with a tragic loss and carry on. It's a fun escape into little town Texas with a great cast of characters. Don't forget to say hi to Stella and Stanley.

medium-paced
i mean i went out of my way to find a boring romance to listen to but this was especially bland
Shameless was my first book by Lex Martin and I'm glad that I took a chance on this author. I listened to Shameless on audiobook and although I found the first part of the book to be gut wrenching, I got very drawn in and invested in these very well written characters and the journey of their lives becoming entwined.
La mia recensione ---> https://ilibridiclaudia.altervista.org/recensioni/senza-vergogna-di-lex-martin/

Da waren so viele gute Momente.

Who says tattooing isn’t an art? It is the only thing keeping Brady Shepherd sane at the moment – minus all the piercing of the naughty bits. He is trying to manage his father’s landscaping company during the day, as his father’s health is declining, while tattooing all night. He’s exhausted and pissed. His little bro, Cal, went to Texas to study business to take over the family business, but ended up getting hitched. Now, Cal lives on a farm with his wife, Melissa, and their baby, Isabella. Brady is happy for him. However, he is upset that Cal gets off scot-free and he now has to carry the “burden.”
After getting home late from the tattoo parlor, Brady notices a message from Cal. He brushes it off – thinking that he will call him back later. The next call he receive is from his distraught mother…
Oh, my God. Cal is dead!
And on the way to be with his parents, his dad suffers a heart attack and is in intensive care - leaving Brady to head to Texas to take care of his brother’s funeral. The weight on his shoulders just keeps getting heavier – as well as his heart.

If it wasn’t for Isabella, Katherine Duran would be a mess. Well, a worse mess. She is going through the motions, for Bella, without really living. There is so much up in the air at this point. Brady is coming down to handle the funerals, but what happens after that? Will he get custody of Isabella? Or will Cal’s parents? What will happen to the farm? Will they go back to Boston? Where will she go? Her life has been pathetic ever since Melissa took her in like a stray. Her family is upset she walked away from a good job, and what they think, a good man. They don’t understand. She can’t work for him anymore. The nightmares and the guilt from losing her best friends are already taking a toll on her. She doesn't need her family disappointment to add on top of that.
Kat and Brady have chemistry as soon as the first met, but they don’t act on it.
A few day’s worth of stubble covering his strong jaw. And muscular, filling out his leather jacket with broad shoulders that cut a dark swath through my vision.
Sons of Anarchy and Tex *wink-wink*
Their slow burn romance will leave you melting. The endless comforting, sideways glancing, ovaries exploding, and flirting will drive you insane. In a good way
“I know I look young, but I’m not that young.” I already told him my age.
“No twenty-three is enough.”
“Old enough for what?” Old enough for you?
He clears his throat. “Old enough to vote.”
I’m pretty sure little hearts are popping out of my eyes right now. Here is this hot man, tattoos decorating his rugged arms, muscles tugging at the fabric, asking me about the baby’s binkie while he holds her close to his chest. Hello, ovary explosion.
And when they finally cave in and get together, I'm pretty sure I exploded. I literally got butterflies during some of their scenes together. *stary-eyed swooning*
Let’s just clear up this shit right now. Number one, yes, I fucking missed you. Two, I would never go out with anyone or mess around with another woman while I’m with you and three, we might as well call a spade a spade because God knows I’d fucking kill any man who laid a finger on you. So if it’s okay with you, while we’re doing this, we’re monogamous.
Even amidst a heartbreak, the heart can find love. Brady and Kat, along with Izzy, heal each other. And it’s a beautiful thing. Lex Martin –

I'm pretty sure this book was filled with everything I've ever found annoying in books. Way too much time avoiding each other and the problem. The will him, won't he crap. The girl putting herself down and calling herself a slut because she goes after what she wants. The list is endless. It all just adds up to a book I found almost unbearable. There were some good parts, I'm sure, somewhere in there, but they are too overshadowed for me to see. The last 25% was more spent skimming through than actually reading.
