Great small town single dad romance. Shameless was inspiring! I felt shameless reading it actually… lol.
What did I like? The characters were so great and the situation was heart rending. Despite a hard start these two were just a formidable pair. I really enjoyed the book and didn’t want to put it down! Five stars for a great read!

I love the emotion, the hero and heroine, and pretty much everything about this book. I wanted them to talk at the 3rd act break up. 4.5 stars.

Das Buch war zwar unterhaltsam, aber auch gefühlt voller Klischees und kitschiger Dialoge. Anfangs mochte ich unsere beiden Hauptcharaktere, Kat und Brady noch, aber das ließ im Verlaufe des Buches nach. Die Kapitel sind zumeist abwechselnd aus Bradys und Kats Sicht geschrieben, aber wenn unter den Kapitel nicht der jeweilige Name stehen würde, hätte ich nicht gewusst, in wessen Kopf wir uns denn gerade befinden.

So, this was my first Lex Martin book and let me just say - I am impressed! I didn't know a thing about the storyline, so I went in blind, and it was such a delightful ride.
First of all, this book begins with great loss. I instantly connected with Brady, and of course I instantly found him attractive - HELLO tattoos! But what I didn't expect was for him to have such a soft and caring personality underneath all that ink. I loved discovering more of him each page.
Kat was so fun - that's the best way to describe her. She was spunky and cute and she definitely doesn't take sh*t, which makes her my favorite type of heroine. I loved how she and Brady challenged each other and even more how they grew together.
What made this book even more amazing to me was Izzy - what she brought out in both characters and how she helped mend them, too. Her plus all the little critters on the farm and a big tattooed Brady figuring it all out? YES! Swoonsville, USA guys.
Lex did and incredible job writing a diverse heroine and a unique story I had never heard before. I was smiling and laughing every chapter and I'm not ashamed to say I even teared up a few times. All I can say is that I really enjoyed this read and I highly recommend it. 5 stars!
