This book was so sweet, it gave me a toothache.
Brady and Katherine are an adorable couple, and I loved their story so much.

Good story

This is a hard review for me, because I really enjoyed the story and the characters and the feel. Then the liberal political views started trickling in, and I was like oh boy, ok, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But then she says she felt pressured to go to a conservative college, has an overbearing conservative father, and you later find out she fled the son of the corrupt Republican politician. I get enough of the anti-conservative political bias in real life. I don’t want it when I read.
The story would’ve been great without being so bias, in my opinion.

Received a copy of this from the author in exchange for a review.

DNF @ 50%

I sincerely tried to finish this. I don't like not completing books, especially books as this that I got solely for a review. I feel as if I let the author down and wasted a copy. Before starting, I read reviews of this and they were really good so I figured I would love this.

The story follows Brady as he tries to handle the new responsibility of raising his niece and running a farm after the death of his brother and sister-in-law. When showing up at the house, he meets Elizabeth, friend of the sister-in-law and live-in nanny essentially.

I enjoyed that the book was written in dual POV but for this book, I think it would have actually been better if only in Brady's, since it was interesting reading about his challenges of maneuvering fatherhood. I also found it hard to differentiate between the two voices and I think had each title not been titled with each name, I would not have known immediately who's speaking.

The thing I mostly didn't enjoy about this book was how basic it was. I understand a lot of NA romances now have something similar that they all have, but I found this book to be predictable and lacking. Especially with their romance. I had a hard time connecting them together. The spark wasn't there for me.

Everywhere I look there is amazing reviews, so I think I'm the only one who didn't enjoy this. Maybe one day I'll give it another go.

Audiobook Read (Audible)
Narrators:  Stephen Dexter & Brooke Bloomingdale

This book is the trifecta for me: A beautiful romantic cover, amazing writing & spice and perfect narrators!

This is such a beautiful story of how love can develop in the aftermath loss. After meeting Brady in the previous series (Dearest) it was so satisfying to see him get his HEA. I also loved Cat. She was such a hard working, nerdy, caring person who was just a perfect match for Brady.
I loved how the narrators preformed both a southern and New England accent for the different characters and I LOVED all the Spanish phrases sprinkled throughout. I am so glad to own this book in my audio library!

It was a Lex Martin's book, so what can I say? I love it.
I know it's been a while since I should have posted this, but I have a new life now. One where I still love books and doing this, but don't have the time to do it. A life where I'm living my own story...
I loved the book, the story, I love the female character and felt like I could relate to her at some kind of level. The male character was swooning and hot, so there's that too.
I cried, I laughed, I'm just so sorry I couldn't finish it sooner.
Totally recommended book!

Okay seriously loved this story line. Couldn't put it down. The H is sexy and sweet and you can't not love him... The h is fantastic and witty and so funny I laughed until I cried. It's a story of two people thrown together under tragic circumstances and instead of the normal drama that happens in most books these two flow together seemlessly and I enjoyed it.

The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is I felt some of the angst was dragged on and it could have been a much shorter book. But other than that it was great
