I absolutely love the lore in You Invited it In! There are so many unique aspects that truly add interesting ideas to the entity/demon genre of horror.
I also love how the characters were well rounded and I really cared for them. I was rooting for Felix, Asher, and Eli so hard.

It was quick and brutal. Happy ending? Not here. It played out like an indie horror game, so predictable and with plenty of horror tropes. My biggest upsets were how exactly it got invited in... I guess I felt the explanation a bit lacking. And that the 12 year old acted and was treated like a maybe an 8 year old. Maybe the author isn't around kids very much or maybe the kids I know are different but either way, the age did not match the character. Overall, not bad but nothing profound or new.

This was so much fun - a fast paced, creepy haunting story that hit every mark. It loses a star for being abrupt - i wanted more! Perfect if youre looking for an edge of your seat, single sitting read.
