I really liked the premise, but the overall story fell flat for me. The characters weren't particularly likeable and many aspects of the story weren't fleshed out well. Several parts read like a draft instead of a finished product. It had a lot of potential, but missed the mark in execution.

I read an ARC copy of this paranormal horror book for my honest review. It was fast-paced, gripping and had many moments that made my skin crawl. The characters were relateable, and well-written. The story is told through the POV of each main character in alternating chapters, which I thought worked really well. Plenty of twists and surprises! I would love to see more books in this universe! Maybe a continuation of Lilith’s story or Ash and Eli.

This was such an incredible paranormal horror story, I couldn't put it down!

It's a fast-paced story about widower Felix who wants to prove that a local medium is a fraud. He hires her to do a spirit cleansing that his house doesn't really need. But after she leaves, weird things start to happen around the house, and the situation becomes increasingly dire.

The type of story that had me holding my breath and it didn't let up. After I was done reading, I really had to take a couple of minutes to collect myself because my heart was racing a thousand miles per hour.
The writing and storytelling are top tier, and Sarah Jules has become an instant read author for me with this one!

Thank you to the author for providing a review copy.

You Invited It In is one of the most creepy, disturbing books I've read this year. I had a hard time putting it down and devoured the book in two sittings. I had previously read Don't Lie by the same author and had a great time with it. This book sees Sarah Jules' writing really solidify and flourish. 4.5 stars

This was pretty incredible! My first book by the author and I was not disappointed.

By the first chapter, I was hooked! I flew through this book as I couldn’t put it down.
The writing was amazing and I thought the characters were great, especially Felix.

I love a story about the supernatural and paranormal, Sarah did a fantastic job!
It genuinely gave me chills down my spine while I was reading and not many books do that to me anymore.

I will be recommending this book to everyone from now on! I also can’t wait to read more from this author!

This book is seriously spooky. I made the mistake of reading it at night, in the dark. Do NOT recommend that unless you wanna be terrified. (And I mean that as a compliment.) This is a gut-wrenching story. The descriptions are visceral and brutal. The family dynamic perfectly pulls at your heartstrings. It executes tension so well, it had me on edge the whole time. I’d recommend it to anyone in the mood for a good old fashioned haunting, with some twists.

The trope of demonic hauntings has been given a fresh and exciting make over, and Sarah Jules has given us a brilliant example of why it is a terrible idea to encourage these entities into your home! This is a very well written story, with characters you're rooting for throughout, and the tension really builds up, as you're wondering what will happen next. It's a fast paced tale, that gives you exactly what you want from this kind of story, but in a way that is new, fun and unique.
