100 pages long and while consisting of a largely cliched plot , fans of the series will not be bored for even a single page . The action starts late but delivers , some familiar foes appear and charm the audience and then a new exciting mythological creature also makes an appearance. To top it all off there's Harry with his quips , arrogance and a newly developed PTSD . It's all super fun .

Well, at least this one was fun, and Butcher did a surprisingly good job reading it.
There is a case, an antagonist who is beyond stupid and, if that wasn't enough, he is also one of Marcone's soldiers, hence he gets mixed into the whole mess.
Entertaining and a nice palate-cleanser after the last two books.

Quick read (not surprising as it was a novella). I loved that it showed that Harry has not lost who he is at the core of himself even with everything he had been through. He still fights for the underdog. I also really liked getting to see a bit of the mourning process for him. Most likely will re-read once I finish my current read through of the entire series.
