At the beginning I thought it might be a new 5 star, because the writing was so beautiful and evocative. The fragmentary switched timelines and perspectives was not too difficult to follow but it seemed like an unnecessarily complicated narrative device that didn't really serve a purpose. Didn't come out of the reading experience with a very good opinion of Egon Schiele but as per the title that was not really the point. I'd be interested to try her other work.
