I found this book fascinating, as well as being pleasantly free of oppressive and inaccurate theology about women's ministry and LGBT+ people. The writing perhaps could have used another round of editing, but that's on the editor, not Fr Alex, who by his own admission is not a writer - however this doesn't take away from the moving and insightful messages throughout the book.
Graphic: Grief, Drug abuse, and Alcoholism
Moderate: Child death, Classism, and Pandemic/Epidemic
Minor: Homophobia, Sexism, and Religious bigotry
Religious bigotry is referred to, but only to condemn it - the theology of this book is progressive and inclusive, there is no homophobic, transphobic, or misogynistic preaching here.brmills's review
