This book provides a lot of inspiring stories, but not a lot of practical solutions.  He makes a case for why we need to prioritize relationships over content, which is a great message.  However, there is not a lot of practical ways to do that.  He does provide some suggestions for how to bond with your students, but none of them stood out to me as being especially easy to do or groundbreaking.  Definitely not my favorite professional development book.

It is a great addition to the professional section of my library as Tom discusses the importance of relationships; a focus in my school. In addition to many personal stories, including ones he shared during his keynote speech, this book includes tips from other educators to "make it stick," reflection questions, and ideas to try in your own educational setting. I would recommend this book to any educator who wants practical advice to improve their impact on the students or professionals they serve. I HIGHLY recommend attending an event where you can hear Tom speak in person!
