This is a very sweet and heart warming story. It's put in the genre of boys love Manga, but it's not really. This is a story of friendship between a lonely 70 year old Calligrapher lady and a lonely teenage bookstore clerk - a girl. They both love Boys love manga and that is how they meet. The old lady is in a book store and buys a Manga with boys love. The friendship is only starting in this volume.
The younger girl is very shy and the older lady has lived a lot of life. At one point, an author they love is having a book signing so they decide to go together. It's a story about finding someone not to be lonely with. It's so well done and so kind hearted. The young girl has a whole collection of books she wants to share with the lady. She has a few with more graphic content and she is so embarrassed about that. She is afraid the older woman will scold her for giving her those. That made me laugh.
I might not be 70, but I can relate to the old lady. HA. I've already ordered vol. 2 from the library. I want to see what happens next.
