I really enjoyed this memoir and think it sums up almost everything about the saying “I’m just a girl.” This has made me even more grateful for my friends, family and lovers in my life.

“When you’re looking for love and it seems like you might not ever never find it, just remember you probably have an abundance of it already, just not the romantic kind.”

i think i should stop forcing myself to read nonfiction 😭😭😭

this was not a bad read, booktok overhyped it lang. it’s hard to relate to white privileged women and it’s especially hard to read strings of adjectives which all mean the same thing. it’s obvious that they’re trying to reach a certain word count.

loved the focus on female friendships though because they’re the most consistent and comforting relationships one could have 🫶🌻
